About MindPlus

MindPlus

The MindPlus is a programme for gifted 6-13 year olds that provides intellectual, creative, social and emotional learning and support. Children come together, with a specialist teacher, for one day each week. There is no more than 16 permanent students in a class, although fluctuations can occur occasionally to accommodate students. Together they engage in differentiated, strength-based learning experiences to further develop their gifts and talents and a greater understanding of themselves.

The MindPlus programme brings learners of like mind together to:
  • develop an understanding of self as a gifted individual;
  • explore and develop gifts, talents and passions;
  • engage in abstract and complex learning;
  • experience and embrace new challenges; and
  • create and innovate.

How are students selected?

The selection process combines information from the student’s school, the parents and from student participation in a selection workshop.

The selection process begins in term three, in order for student workshops, parent and teacher assessments to be completed. Please approach your school in the beginning of term 3 if you're interested.
Is my school a cluster school?

How much does it cost?

In 2020, families are charged $47 per day for attending MindPlus. This works out at $470 per school term. We offer a siblings discount for families with multiple children in the MindPlus programme and invoices are sent at the beginning of a term. We ask families to commit to the entire year as placements are limited.
We would like to thank our generous sponsors and donors for their continuous support:
